What is the Electrostatics Society of America?

The ESA has a rich and interesting history which highlights the accomplishments of many of the pioneers in Electrostatics over the past half-century. The ESA encourages the teaching of electrostatics and maintains the Electrostatics Hall of Fame at the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, PA, USA.

Joining the ESA: Membership is open to anyone working in the field of electrostatics regardless of country of residence. A large percentage of ESA members reside in countries outside the United States.

Electrostatics: "The class of phenomena recognized by the presence of electrical charges, either stationary or moving, and the interaction of these charges, this interaction being solely by reason of the charges and their positions and not by reason of their motion."
